Still Head consists of Dennis Brandner (New York), Roman Rofalski (Berlin), and Felix Schlarmann (Amsterdam),

Their music can broadly be placed in the contemporary-jazz category, as elements of improvisation are prevalent throughout. However, influences are as varied as the different music scenes the three members participate in: Traces of New York’s rough-edged dynamism go shoulder to shoulder with recent developments in European electronic music.

Consequently, the tracks selected here exude a candid grittiness ) as well as tender elegance.

Still Head attempts to highlight the seemingly indefinite sonic possibilities found in the combination of electronic and acoustic instruments. Each track generates a distinct atmosphere and a wide dynamic range, liberal treatment of form, and a broad array of sonic concepts form the fabric that weaves individual tracks together.
Each piece selected for the purpose of the EP originated from the mind of another member of the band and transformed into a larger manifestation of Still Head's sound as a group.
